This is a two-level, two-courtyard, twin pavilion building with a rooftop garden overlooking Warriewood Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Concrete floors are softened by wood-battened ceilings, a double-storey, form-poured concrete chimney divides a wall of glass. Louvre and highlight windows, blackbutt timbered blade walls, and a huge glass pivot door control view, light and breeze. The pavilions are separated by two courtyards, the wet with a pond and the dry with grass, providing escape from the summer north-easterly winds. Each pavilion provides private escape from the other for working, reading or guest accommodation.
